Martin Nitzken, a 27-year-old from Louisville, Kentucky, has died after a fatal police shooting, prompting widespread grief and calls for accountability. On May 30, Nitzken was shot by Louisville Metro Police Officer Nathan Stotts during a response to reports of assaults in a residential neighborhood.
Police say officers were dispatched to Cromarty Way after receiving multiple reports of assaults. When Officer Stotts arrived, he encountered Nitzken sitting in the street.
